1. Service Description

ParentSync is a school-parent communication platform provided as a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS). It enables schools to manage their organization structure, students, staff, and communicate with parents through a web-based portal and mobile application.

2. Account Responsibilities

  • Schools are responsible for the accuracy of data they upload and manage.
  • The school head (principal/owner) is the primary account holder.
  • Account credentials must not be shared. Each user should have their own account.
  • Schools are responsible for ensuring they have consent to store and process student and parent data.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use ParentSync for:

  • Sending spam, harassment, or illegal content.
  • Any purpose other than school-related communication.
  • Attempting to access other schools' data or circumvent security measures.
  • Uploading malicious content, viruses, or harmful code.

4. Free Trial

All new schools receive a free trial period (typically 30 days, configurable by ParentSync). During the trial, all features are available. No payment or credit card is required to start a trial. At the end of the trial, the school can convert to a paid subscription or the account will become read-only.

5. Billing & Payments

  • Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or yearly as selected during enrollment.
  • Pricing is as displayed at the time of enrollment or plan change.
  • Price changes will be communicated at least 30 days in advance.
  • Non-payment may result in account downgrade to read-only status.

6. Cancellation

Schools can cancel their subscription at any time by contacting support. After cancellation, the account remains accessible in read-only mode for a grace period (typically 30 days). After the grace period, data may be permanently deleted.

7. Data Ownership

Schools own their data. ParentSync processes data on behalf of the school as a data processor. Schools can request a full data export at any time. Upon account closure, data is deleted after the grace period.

8. Service Availability

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee 100% uptime. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance where possible. We are not liable for temporary service interruptions due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ParentSync's liability is limited to the fees paid by the school in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email at least 30 days in advance. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
